APC Flays Destructin Of Company’s Excavator

Progressive Congress in Egbeda, Emohua local government area of the Rivers has condemned the burning of Cosmic Construction Company Ltd’s excavator and also criticized the state of violence being unleashed on the community by members of the opposition party in the state.
The APC leader in Emohua Ward 11, Egbeda, Hon Enyie Friday Enyie, who made the condemnation at the weekend in Port Harcourt, also distanced the party and the community from the malicious falsehood that three persons had died in the pit dug by the excavator.
According to him, “nobody has been killed as a result of the ongoing road maintenance in the community.”
Hon Enyie explained that those who went on air to say that three persons had died in the pit were guilty of malicious falsehood and should be prosecuted for misinforming the public.
The APC leader expressed regrets that the actions of some so called leaders of the opposition party in the community were capable of igniting crisis.
He described the militarization of the community by a prominent opposition party leader had become worrisome, and noted that if nothing was done to stem the tide, there was possibility that they could be engulfed in crisis.
He remarked that the justification of the burning of the excavator maintaining Egbeda-Omerelu road by the so called leader of opposition in the community had exposed the state of those who want to aspire to public offices.
Hon Enyie called on the law enforcement agents to do something urgently to prevent election rated violence in the community.
The APC leader noted that the party leadership in the community would work hand in glove with the community management and police to fish out the culprits.
He described the action of the hoodlums as barbaric and regrettable.
In a related development, the President of Federated Egbeda Youth Council, Comrade Bathlomew Osah, has flayed the burning of the Cosmic Construction Company Ltd’s excavator by hoodlums suspected to be members of opposition party in Egbeda. Emohua, local government area of Rivers State.
Comrade Osah, who made the condemnation in Port Harcourt on Monday, described its as a deliberate attempt to set the community backwards.
He pointed out that the overall interest of the community must supersede party affinities.
He told party leaders to be reason and avoid putting members of the community against one another.
He said that crisis did not do anybody good and warned community to shun violence as wells leaders deposed to violence.
