Worluh Donates Five Water Projects To Community
The Board member I of the
Rivers State Universal Basic Education, Mr. Lucky Worluh, has handed over five water projects to the Rundele community in the Emohua local government area.
The projects were sited in the five quarters of the community
Speaking during the commissioning of two of the water projects at Ukeli and Mgbu Ogbakiri quarters of Rundele community, the member representing Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Chief Andrew Uchendu, described the projects as timely as it would go a long way in checking the problem of water shortages in the community.
Chief Uchendu, however, urged other sons and daughters of Rundele to emulate the example set by Hon. Lucky Worluh by embarking on projects that have direct bearing on the people.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Hon. Godstime Orlukwu, described the project as a magnanimous gesture worthy of emulation by all and sundry in the area.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen shortly after the commissioning ceremony, the initiator of the project, Mr. Lucky Worluh said that the projects were part of his contribution towards checking the problem of water scarcity in the community.
Mr. Worluh also said that the project would check the high rate of water borne diseases in the community and used the occasion to debunk the allegation that the projects were constituted by the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC).
He however dedicated the project to Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi by whose efforts the projects were embarked upon
