…Tasks Women On Peaceful Elections

Women  across the
country have been urged  to use their peaceful  disposition as mothers to ensure a peaceful election in Nigeria.
Mrs Aishatu Buhari, represented by the co-ordinator, APC Women Presidential Campaign Initiative made the appeal in   Yola, Adamawa State capital lastweek, while addressing a town hall meeting.
She said women  had a critical role to play towards a peaceful election and victory of APC at all levels, hence she appealed to women to warn their children  against taking part in acts of violence, before, during and after the elections. “I also  want to acknowledge your highly  influential role as mothers, particularly on your households, and therefore  urge you to caution your children to shun any form of violence, before, during and after the election,” she said.
According to Mrs Buhari, it is important that women lead the way to the path of peace because they are the most vulnerable in crisis period.
