Stakeholder Urges Total Support For Sharks, Dolphins

stakeholder in Rivers State and ardent Supporter of Sharks football club, Mr. Sunday Ogu, popularly known as ‘Total’ has called for maximum support and motivation for the state’s teams as the new football season beckons.
Speaking in an interview yesterday in Port Harcourt, Ogu said that the sponsors, Rivers State government should be behind the clubs as the season starts, so that they can begin on good footing.
According to him, Sharks, Rivers Angel and especially Dolphins, who are campaigning in the Continent need every support and inventive to be in the right frame of mind to compete and bring glory to the state.
He noted that government has different issues competing for scarce resources, but it needs to have a listening ear to the clubs’ problems, even if they cannot be solved 100 percent immediately.
Ogu further urged the government, supporters and football lovers to rally round the General Manager, management and players of Dolphins FC, especially, now that the club is involved in CAF Confederation Cup to put them in good stead for the task ahead.
Total Support, as he is fondly called advised Dolphins players to lift themselves and approach this weekend’s second leg confederation cup match against Leones Vegetarianos on if their lives depend on it. He said that they should not allow their present circumstance to weigh them down and affect their game.
He further challenged supporters of Sharks and Dolphins FCs to close rank and Unite behind the clubs for success and avoid practices that may incur the wrath of League organizers.
