Reps Candidate Pledges To Tackle Erosion In Anambra
The All Progressives
Grand Alliance (APGA) House of Representatives candidate in Anambra State, Chief Peter Madubueze, has pledged to tackle the flood menace ravaging his constituency, if elected.
Madubueze is APGA candidate seeking to represent Anambra East and West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
He told newsmen at Aguleri in Anambra that flood remains the major problem facing the people of the constituency.
“After the flood disaster that hit the area two years ago, money meant for its rehabilitation did not get to them.
“Worse still is that flood remains the major problems of the people who are largely farmers.
“The problem is that the ecology funds Federal Government allocates to the area did not get there.
“I decided to contest for the seat to ensure that all the ecology funds are used for that purpose,” he said.
Madubueze also said that he would pursue the completion of the Umueze Anam-Nzam-Inoma-Kogi-Abuja road, saying that the work had stopped half way.
The road, according to him, will boost the economic activities of the farmers as well as facilitate easy evacuation of their crops to the markets.
He said that the road would also ease travelling from Anambra to Abuja under three hours.
The politician further pledged to provide employment opportunities and quality education for the youths as well as improve the fortunes of the people engaging in oil activities.
