Remember Soku Oil Wells, Vote Out PDP – Flag-Amachree
The immediate past Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area in Rivers State, Hon. Ojukaye Flag-Amachree has called on the people of Kalabari Kingdom to remember the criminal take-over of Soku oil wells and the pain the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) inflicted on Kalabari people and Rivers State, as they go to the polls.
The former chairman, who made the call at Kalabari National College Buguma during the flag-off of All Progressives Cong
ress (APC) state rally, expressed displeasure over the humiliation the Kalabari suffered in the hands of President Goodluck Jonathan, and appealed to the people to reject the president and PDP to restore their dignity.
He said, “As you vote, one important thing that should be on your mind is the seized Soku oil wells. They cannot take our God-given wealth and expect us to continue keeping them in office. You all remember that we did everything humanly possible to take back our wealth but because they are in power, they ignored us.
“Now God has given us a golden opportunity to recover our oil wells and develop our kingdom by voting them out. We must therefore support the All Progressives Congress, and General Muhammadu Buhari, a good man who loves our people. The choices before us are therefore simple and straight-forward. Reject our oppressor, the PDP and vote for APC because that is the direction everybody is headed”, Amachree said.
He praised the APC governorship candidate, Dr. Daukuku Peterside for his progressive programme for Rivers State, adding that the difference between PDP and APC is darkness and light, insisting that Rivers people have chosen light which APC represents.
