Kano Pillars’ Assistant
Coach, Ibrahim Musa, has said that the Nigerian league champions were ready for the 2015 CAF Champions League which gets underway this weekend.
Musa told newsmen on the sidelines that he was impressed with the performance of the club’s players ahead of the competition, especially, at the recently concluded Super four tournament in Abuja.
“The players’ performance has improved compared to when the tournament started.
“Although we still have some lapses we have to correct but as it stands now, we are ready to go to the continent and do Nigeria proud.
“But we will still work on the lapses we noticed, so that we can have a strong team before the Champions League starts,” Musa said
The Kano-based club used the super four tournament as a build-up to the 2015 CAF Champions League.
They will face Al-Malakia of South Sudan in the first leg match this weekend.
The second leg match comes up in a forthnight.
