The Petroleum and

According to a statement released by the union’s President Comrade Francis Johnson after the union’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting recently said 2015 is a remarkable year in the political life of Nigeria and therefore political parties leaders to show maturity in all their utterances and doings.
Johnson said the leadership of the different political parties must allow the various peace accords brokered by the international community and signed by their respective candidates to work.
The statement stated that there is global focus on government and the Independent National Electoral INEC) to live up to expectations through the conduct of free and fair elections come March 28 and April 11 respectively, stressing that the electorate votes must count with one manwoman one vote principle.
The union’s leader enjoined all stakeholders especially the political class and their follower to pursue peace, unity and progress to nurture the nation’s growth.
He said political leaders and their followers should neither see the elections as an end in itself nor a do-or-die affair, stressing that all political parties and their gladiators should collaborate together to ensure that “Project Nigeria” does not fail as Nigeria remains the only country for Nigerians to be proud of as an indivisible entity.
The union’s boss said  political party leaders must tread with caution to ensure that reported cases of political wrangling and bickering are maturely handled in the overall interest of the country.
