National Theatre To Become Entertainment City

The Federal Gov
ernment has unveiled plans to completely renovate and restructure the National Theatre Iganmu Lagos and completely transform the large under developed area of land around the iconic theatre and make it the Nigerian Entertainment City.
Our sources reveal that facilities in the entertainment city will include a 5 Star Hotel, Ultra Modern office building, a multi-level car park, shopping and retail facilities and an amusement park.
It was also gathered that the objective of the project is to make the edifice economically viable, create a-one-of-its kind park in Africa and make it a tourist attraction which will inevitably rub off positively on the country’s economy as a whole.
The Federal Government states that a public-private partnership model is being deployed to actualise this massive project which will see the current theatre’s main bow fully upgraded and the adjourning land around it developed into complementary facilities which will be known as the Nigerian Entertainment City.
