Imoke Urges Women, Youth To Collect PVCs

ship Opportunities for Women Empowerment Realisation (POWER) and wife of the Cross River State Governor, Mrs. Obioma Liyel-Imoke, have been presented with her Permanent Voters Card (PVC).
The event which took place at the Government Primary School polling unit, Itigidi, Abi local government area of the state saw women and youth from the Central Senatorial District being sensitized.
Speaking, Mrs Imoke enjoined Cross River women and youth to endeavour to pick up their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) at their various wards to enable them vote in the coming election.
“Friends, Nigerians, countrymen lend me your ears. Please endeavour to pick up your Permanent Voters Cards, it is your own personal rights as a Nigerian and please ask everyone around you to do same. Do not be an arm chair decision maker, make your opinion count, she advised.
The wife of the governor noted that the PVC would enable them to secure their voting right in the forthcoming elections as well as benefit from the state government’s free medical care for women and children, employment, among other social services.
The state coordinator, Women for Change Initiative, Pastor (Mrs) Eno Oqua and wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Gloria Effiok Cobham commended women for their support and expressed the hope that the message would be taken seriously.
