marriage of Mercy Johnson to an Edo State born businessman, Odi Okojie, the sultry actress is still condemned by the media and her numerous fans who accuse her of husband snatching.
It will be recalled that a Canada-based woman whose name was given as Lovely had claimed that Mercy Johnson’s husband was her husband and that she bore him children. At a speculations that the wedding between Mercy and Odi would be cancelled, but against all odds, Mercy Johnson and Okojie were joined together as husband and wife on Saturday August 27, 2011 at a Christ Embassy Church in Ikeja, Lagos amidst water tight security.
Thereafter, Mercy Johnson was tagged by the media and her fans as a husband snatcher which some people say Nollywood is reputed for. It was gathered that almost four years after the wedding, the mother of two is still condemned for wrecking the marriage and happiness of another woman.
The marriage generated heated controversy to the extent of attracting a protest from some aggrieved women. Even Pastor Chris Oyakhilome-led Christ Embassy Church where the wedding was held was highly criticized and Pastor Oyakhilome almost lost his respect in Nigeria because his church went ahead with the wedding ceremony.
Meanwhile, Tonto Dike, had parted ways with ex-lover, Michael Awolaja popularly known as Malivelihood.
The Rivers State born controversial actress is said to be dating a new guy and has kept the identity of the new guy secret to avoid been snatched.
It was gathered that the babe who snatched Tonto’s boy friend is Kogi State-born Senator Smart Adeyemi’s daughter Adeola. According to our source, Tonto and Adeola were close pals until Tonto lost Malivehihood to Adeola. It would be recalled that Tonto three years ago, lost her billionaire Igbo boyfriend, Promise to rising Nollywood actress Onyi Alex, who now has a boy for the businessman.
