Benvic CC Beats Panthers, Tops Log

Benvic cricket club of
Port Harcourt yesterday defeated panthers cricket club of Port Harcourt by a whopping 103 runs in the on-going 2014/2015 Port Harcourt Cricket league.
The match which was the opening match of the second round of the league was played at the weekend at the cricket pitch of the university of Port Harcourt, (UNIPORT).
Benvic C.C. Thrashed panthers C.C. 103 runs to go tops on the log with six (6) points in the weekend opening match.
Tonye Timinadi of Benvic C.C. scored 80 runs out of a total score of 103 runs to win the man of the match (MOM) award on Saturday.
It would be recalled that Benvic Cricket club had defeated the defending champions, pathers cricket club in the last match of the first round which was the week five match by two wickets and climbed to second position on the league table as K-11 were leading by four points.
Presently, Benvic is leading the six points, after beating panthers C.C. in the opening game of the second round of the league, expected to be the week six fixtures.
This weekend, K-11 would encounter Whales cricket club of Port Harcourt in a week seven fixture of the on-going 2014/1015 Rivers State cricket league.
