April Polls: More Traders Endorse Peterside For Rivers Gov

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State Dr. Dakuku Peteside,  has commended traders across the length and breadth of the state for their services to the people.
He described them as important service providers who are working tirelessly to make available, essential commodities for their customers who depend on them for their daily needs.
The APC candidate made the commendation at the various markets in Port Harcourt metropolis which included: Rumuokurushi Market, Tank Market, Pipeline Market in Rumuodara, Ave Maria Market in Rumudomaya, and shops around Igwuruta Road.
He also visited other markets like Timber Market, Oyigbo, Oyigbo Ultra Modern Market, Kom Kom Market and Chippings Market, Iriebe, among others.
Peterside, who was accompanied on the rallies by APC supporters and candidates for both state and National Assemblies, promised to provide improved market environment and assist traders with credit facilities. According to him, working with the traders, he promised to address their areas of need by sitting with their leaders and addressing whatever that requires urgent attention.
“I am here to appreciate you for your service. Without you, our dear state will not make the needed progress because you supply our needs. What you do is very important and nobody can deny that. But I am also here because this election is very critical. Let me say that your decision during this election will either move you forward or take you backwards.
“And your PVC is your power. The decision to use it wisely for your good and the good of Rivers people is entirely yours. If you want to be led by touts, then give your votes to your oppressors because you already know them. All of us running for office were in government before. You know how they intimidated you in the past. I can assure you that if they return, they will double the oppression and intimidation.
“You know them, so I will not waste my time talking about their character traits. If they want to drink Champaign in their houses, they will come to this market and tax you to satisfy their urge. Please, do not throw away your future. If you don’t want to sell your future to the devil, then vote properly. Follow our logo, which is the broom. Together, we shall sweep away enemies of this state. We shall also sweep away unemployment, insecurity, impunity, lawlessness and crime”, he added.
