2016 Olympics Qualifiers: Beach Volleyball Team Begins Training
Coach Charkuma Ismail of
the national beach volleyball team has said that the male and female beach volleyball teams would resume camp on Monday.
Ismail told newsmen in Abuja that this would allow the team to commence early preparations for the 2016 Olympics Games qualifiers.
He said 10 players from each of the two categories have been invited.
“The players will have to fight for a space in the team for the technical crew to make the final selection of four players from each category,’’ the coach said.
The qualifiers have been scheduled to hold in Benin Republic from March 12 to March 16.
“We will start training for the 2016 Olympics Games qualifiers on Monday and 10 male and 10 female players have been invited to camp.
“It is from these 20 that we will pick the final eight of four male and four female players.
“We will be in camp for two weeks before heading to Benin Republic for the qualifiers,’’ Ismail said.
