Rugged Pastor Takes Comedy To Next Level
Comedy has become
one of the most lucrative entertainment ventures in Nigeria in recent times with a lot of young, intelligent and talented youths engaging in the humorous trade. One of such humour merchants is Port Harcourt-based wave making comedian, Emmanuel Ubi popularly known as “Rugged Pastor” who has taken comedy to the next level.
The comedian who promoted agriculture such as fishing and farming through his funny jokes, was recently caught frying garri in his village. In an interview with The Tide Entertainment, Ubi regretted that the youths of today have abandoned their traditional means of livelihood such as farming, fishing, hunting etc and scramble for white colar jobs that have remained elusive.
He noted that comedy has come to stay in Nigeria but it is not an all comer’s game. He said apart from the financial benefits, it is a tasking profession because it is not easy to relax the mind and to make people laugh particularly n this era of economic hardship and other societal ills. So, the comedian need to be encouraged and appreciated to serve the society better.
