Peterside Unveils Agenda For Rivers People …Promises Security, Wealth Creation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State, Dr. Dakuku Peterside yesterday unveiled his four cardinal points of development, tagged: “Our Road Map To Prosperity,” if elected as governor of the state.
Peterside, who read his manifesto in a prèss briefing at his campaign office in Port Harcourt, named security of lives and property as well as public sector accountability as priority, if elected.
He also announced social and human capital development and empowerment, institutional and physical infrastructure development and food security as part of his developmental agenda, stating that food security would be possible through a purpose designed Green Revolution project, and strategically interconnected network of modern roads in clusters of residential areas, improve manufacturing and agro-allied industrial layout around the state.
The APC gubernatorial candidate further promised to achieve employment generation and wealth creation by sustained economic growth with  jobs and wealth  huge opportunities for all  Rivers citizens.
Peterside promised to create 180,000 job opportunities yearly through priority target sectors, and also create 22,000 micro, small and medium scale enterpreneurs yearly through priority target, sectors.
He explained the importance of robust micro, small and medium enterprises to the growth of the economy in the society, noting that the ongoing monorail project in Rivers State, will fully integrate rapid transportation system (land and sea ) to open up rural settlements and forge seamless economic synergy with urban settlements  within very smart cities.
