NFF Wants To Take Right Decision On Keshi -Pinnick
Nigerian Football Fed
eration, NFF President Amaju Pinnick has stated that the football federation hopes to take the right decision on Stephen Keshi and so the delay in any announcements regarding the future of the out-of-contract coach.
The executive committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) met yesterday in Lagos with several issues including that of the future of Keshi to be discussed.
“The chairman technical committee was on with coach Stephen Keshi. And he is going to recommend to the board the decision of his committee. Like I keep saying, contracts are not signed over night,” Amaju stated.
“We make an offer, Keshi says he doesn’t like it, it goes back to us, we insert the right clauses, it goes to the legal department. We just want to ensure that we do a thorough job.
“In Nigeria, we have a very peculiar environment and that is why it’s taking this long. We don’t want to make mistakes but to take a right decision that is beneficial to all.”
Keshi’s initial three-year contract lapsed in July after the country’s World Cup campaign in Brazil.
