Monarch Tasks Nigerians On Peaceful Polls

and former Chairman, Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Eminence, Sir (Dr) Chukumela Nnam Obi 11 has appealed to all Nigerians to pray for peaceful and successful general elections.
Oba Chukumela Nnam Obi 11 who made the appeal in his New Year message to Nigerians reminded the political class and the youths of the events of 1953, 1963, 1983 and 1993, urging the youths to resist any attempt to be used as tools by desperate politicians to cause confusion during or after the 2015 general elections.
The Ogba Monarch who stressed the need for dialogue, patience, tolerance and understanding among Nigerians in resolving issues that could affect the generality of Nigerians called on the people to use the occasion of the New Year to collectively join hands to move the country forward.
Oba Chukumela Obi who also called on the National Assembly and Executive council to bury their differences and join hands without sentiments to aggressively address key national issues such as the security challenges, poverty, corruption, sliding rate of the Naira, hunger and unemployment, noted that no efforts should be spared towards alleviating the sufferings of the people.
The Ogba monarch who also lamented the marginalization of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area by the Federal, Rivers State and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area Governments as well as Oil Companies noted that the area is not properly treated considering its notable contributions to the nation’s wealth.
