Dolphins FC Signs On Ex-Libyan Club Defender
The management of
Dolphins Football Club of Port Harcourt has signed a new defender, Onyekachi Akakem, to beef up the defence line in the team.
Akakem is among the registered players for the club’s continental campaign which begins next month.
The media officer of the club, China Acheru disclosed this in an interview with Tidesports last week.
Acheru continued that the new player is level headed and comfortable on the ball. According to him, the defender has qualities that would improve the build up play of the team and boasts of good experience that will lift his teammates.
“The player has reported to the team’s camp and looked physically and psychologically balance” he stated.
Akakem, has previously played for Ajiya Babes, Ocean Boys, Heartland, Rangers and most recently Khaleej Sirte SC in Libya.
The media officer further described Akakem as a combative defender who can be deployed either as a central defender or defensive midfielder, good with both feet and shoot well.
