The Coach of  one of
the Rivers State’s Traditional Sports, Abula, Mr Paul Asaah, has promised to take the sports to new heights.
Coach Asaah, who made the pledge during an interview with Tidesports this week at the Alfred Diette Spiff Sports Complex, Port Harcourt, said that his vision is to make the sport more attractive to the youth and to win more laurels.
According to him, he would leave no stone unturned in creating adequate awareness on the sport as to ensure that it is well appreciated in and outside the country.
He said that he would continue the programme which he initiated last year which was suddenly interrupted by the outbreak of the Ebola Virus.
“I was supposed to go to those nearby countries  in West Africa to teach and train them on the sport though, I sent a video of the game, but, they still requested for my presence”, he said.
The countries that Mr  Asaah was expected to visit includes Ghana, Algeria, Ivory Coast and Cameroons.
Meanwhile, Mr Asaah who is also the National Coach of the sport is working hard to see that the sport is included in the forthcoming All Africa Games.
