In a bid to fight crime
effectively, the Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday appealed to residents to volunteer information to the police.
“They should report crimes at the nearest police station to make crime-fighting easier for the police.
“Lagosians should not hesitate to give information on crimes,’’  the command’s spokesman, Mr Kenneth Nwosu, told newsmen in Lagos.
He spoke against the backdrop of reports of robberies at different spots in the state.
“It is when they brief or inform the police on any crime that further steps can be taken to fight and control it.’’
Nwosu said reported crimes had always helped police in their investigations.
According to him, reports had helped police’s quick intervention and response to crimes being committed.
The police spokesman assured the people of the combat readiness of the command to rid the state of crimes and protect lives and property.
