Nathan Sinkala has
admitted that Bafana Bafana gave Zambia the perfect test despite Sunday’s friendly loss away in Johannesburg.
Bafana beat Zambia 1-0 in the two sides pre-2015 Africa Cup warm-up game played at Orlando Stadium.
The deputy Zambia captain told Tidesports source that there were a lot of positives the team has taken from the game.
“South Africa gave us a good training game and now we know what we are lacking and where we have to improve,” Sinkala said.
The midfielder, who has just completed a six month loan stint at Swiss club Grasshopper from TP Mazembe, said the game had personally helped with his game fitness after seeing very little action at the European club.
This was Sinkala’s first competitive game since November 19 when Zambia beat Cape Verde 1-0 at home in the two sides’ final 2015 Africa Cup Group F qualifier in Ndola.
Sinkala played the opening 88 minutes against Bafana before he was replaced by new boy Spencer Sautu of FAZ Super Division club Choma Eagles.
Bafana broke the deadlock against thanks to a Thuso Phala goal in the 80th minute.
