Police Recover Gun Boats, Ammunitions, Others In Rivers

lice Command says it has recovered 3 speed gun boats, one general purpose machine gun as well as 85  live ammunitions from suspected armed robbers within the month of November, 2013.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmad Mohammad, disclosed while briefing journalists in his office over the weekend.
DSP Ahmad also disclosed that the police within the period under review recovered five phones and the sum of N22,000 naira, adding that one person was fatally wounded while others flee away during the operation.
The state police spokesperson said the police would continue to trail the fleeing armed robbery suspects, adding that the command has zero tolerance on armed robbery and other anti-social activities that are deterrent to the development of the society.
He used the opportunity to assure residents of the state of adequate security during and after the yuletide period, adding that the police has all it takes to ensure a crime-free Christmas celebration in the state.
