NRA Hopes To Reap From Foreign Training
The Nigeria Referees
Association (NRA) has said experience from international training tour in the UK by match officials, would improve performance in the 2015 Glo Premier League (GPL).
The President of the association, Ahmed Maude, told newsmen in Lagos, that referees had been adequately educated from such programme.
Eleven top referees participated in the programme that was bankrolled by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) during the outgoing year.
Maude said, “the two-week programme took place at the English FA High Performance training center, St. George Park.
“We learnt a lot, it was a refreshing proagramme that was needed. There will be lots of improvement in our officiating come next season.
“The first batch has gone; more will still go. So, nobody will be left out.
“This training has exposed us to various structures of work and communication in the course of officiating.
“We want to appreciate the NFF for their efforts in ensuring that we have the much needed exposure.
“I believe other structures of football will improve with more exposure”.
