Gunmen Kill Young Boy In Egbeda

suspected to be cultists have killed one young boy Friday Ordu in Ebegu, Egbeda in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
An eyewitness, who spoke with The Tide in Port Harcourt at the weekend explained that the deceased popularly known as Tiger was killed by 2.00am on Saturday by people suspected to have come from rival cult groups.
He, the slain Mr Tiger, was alleged to have belonged to the Dey-Gbam cult group, which made him a target of his opponent.
The eyewitness said that the slain Mr Tiger was shut at a close range, which made his private part and his bowels to pour on the ground.
He explained that the nature of his killing made his relatives to opt for immediate burial to stem further decompositions of the corpse.
He noted that the bereaved mother and siblings have decided to leave the matter in the hands of God.
The eyewitness also said that a dusk to dawn curfew has been imposed in the community following the upsurge of violence in the area.
He remarked that the upsurge of violence have limited celebration in the community.
He pointed out that well-to-do members of the community had refused to return for the Christmas and new year celebrations and described this year’s celebration as the worst in a decade.
