GIAMA Awards Reward Talents
Thirty days in Atlanta, Iyori, a mile from Home and Apaye won big in Houston, Texas at the Glamorous 3rd annual GIAMA Award hosted by ace comedian, Julius Agwu.
It was a night full of excitement and celebration of African films at its best.
Nollywood foremost director cum actor, Desmond Elliot, said in a previous interview that his first attendance at the GIAMA was like being at the Oscars, so also were James Costellos words as he got on stage to present an award at the 2014 edition of GIAMA.
The memorable, historic and exciting night of recognition of the best in the African entertainment industry was kicked off by a special opening rendition by MYOA and Jerry Cleo, followed by a grand entrance by Julius Agwu who continually kept the audience entertained with his rib cracking jokes and comedic acts.
The GIAMA has been widely depicted and portrayed not only by Desmond Elliot and Costello, but also by several attendees including celebrities and special guests at large.
Others who entertained guests at the event were, Pascal PC, Uti Nwachukwu, and GEO dancers amongst others.
Several personalities at the event include:
Julius Agwu, Majid Michel, Stella Damasus, Ini Edo, Uti Nwachukwu, Anthony Monjaro, Ruth Kadiri, Alex Ekubo, Emem Isong, Lancelot Imasuen, Susan Peters, Mbong Amata and Uche Iwuanyanwu.
Others were Charles Novia, Pascal Atuma, Moses Inwang, Charles Unsagbai, Daniel Ademinokan, Robert Peters Ivie Okiejaye, Tana Adelana among a host of others.
