Community Hails Council Boss Over Survillance

Akwukabi communities in Etche Local Government Area of  Rivers State have lauded the caretaker committee chairman of the area, Barr Reginald Ukwuoma for providing security during the INEC voters registration exercise in the area.
Speaking to The Tide the chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Etche LGA chapter, Hon Precious Dike, commended the council’s boss for ensuring that the people of Obibi / Akwukabi communities participated during the exercise.
Hon Dike averred that the people of the areas were afraid if they would participate in the exercise due to the high level of cult crisis in the area and noted that the areas was regarded as a flash point for crime.
“My brother, every body from this part of Etche was not sure if they will participate in this exercise, including the INEC officials, but thank God the council’s boss with the assistance of the security operatives created a peaceful platform for people to come out and collect their permanent voters card as well participate in the registration” he stated.
The Etche youth leaders further expressed appreciation of Etche people to the state commissioner for Police, Dan Bature for his commitment in ensuring that absolute peace prevailed in the area.
The NYCN leader urged the people of Etche, especially the youths to cooperate with the leaders in the area to ensure that peaceful atmosphere was created during and after the 2015 general elections in the area and cautioned that no blood of any Etche man is worth any selfish individual aspiration.
