The Anambra
Central Traditional Rulers Council has urged the Federal Government to install hi-tech security devices in “strategic areas” and public places in the country.
The Chairman of the council, Igwe Chukwuemeka Ilouno, made the call in an interview with newsmen in Ifitedunu community, near Onitsha.
Iluono said that the current spate of insecurity in the country made it imperative to provide such facilities.
“There is no perfect security anywhere in the World; or a place where mischief makers do not exist.
“But the crux of the matter is to put things in place such as hi-tech technological surveillance and security devices to deter these mischief makers whenever and wherever they want to carry out their dastardly acts.
“And the government should also within the very shortest possible time track down those that have committed any evil acts using such hi-tech devices,” he said.
The chairman also called on the Anambra Government to install CCTV cameras in all strategic places in the state to help in securing lives and property.
