The chairman of Alakahia
Youths in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Mr. Dike Noble Anele, has sent a save-our-soul message to the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi over an alleged plan by the elders of the community to exterminate  key members of the  youth.
Mr. Anele, who disclosed this to The Tide in Port Harcourt on Monday also alleged that the paramount ruler of Alakahia community, Chief Daniel Ogbondah in connivance with  other Chiefs in the community had secretly kept aside 200 plots of land in the community and had began to dispose off the plots when the youths discovered it.
According to him, “the youths had no choice than to begin to sell plots of the land also. This did not go down well with the elders and chiefs who reported the matter to the police.
He said the chiefs framed up allegations of kidnapping, armed robbery, illegal possession of firearm against them and consequently detained them at Choba  police station, Mini-Okoro Police and Special Anti Robbery Squad.
The chairman said in the course of their detention, they were tortured, brutalized and their backs  burnt with hot iron.
Mr. Anele, who was speaking from his hideout in Port Harcourt, explained  that when the police  discovered that the bone of contention was  land, they granted them bail.
The youth chairman said that since they were  granted bail by the police, the Chiefs in the community had sent vigilante boys in possession of illegal firearms to hunt them.
He listed the youths that were  chased around as Nnamdi Emenike, Chimenem Wali, Junior Robert and Azunoka  Harry.
Others include Chijoke Ogbondah, Ugochukwu Thompson and himself.
Mr. Anele described the paramount ruler of Alalahia community, Chief Daniel  Ogbondah as despot  and pointed out that in spite of his position, he was also the Community Development  Committee Chairman, as well as light Committee Chairman.
The  youth chairman alleged that the paramount ruler was working with Chief Nkem J. Amadi, Chief Promise Owhor, and Chief Innocent Enyi in the prosecution  of the illegal and inlawful agenda.
He said Iheanyi Kingsley Ezebunwo and Rev. Moses Omonkhuale were  also part of  the alleged conspirator.
Mr. Anele also alleged that Mr. Ezebunwo had collected N2.6m from the youths for which he vowed  to defend their cause  and expressed surprise that he was working against them.
He also alleged that Rev. Omonkhuale, the General Overseer of Multiple Enlargement Ministry was the one giving them police connection  as he stated that  he had been given 20 plots of land to make the  necessary connections.
Also speaking, one of the Chiefs of Alakahia Community, Chief Christian Chukwu, condemned  the Chiefs of Alakahia over the treatment meted  out to the youths in police cells.
Chief Chukwu explained that the youths of Alakahia were treated like common  criminals after the aforementioned Chiefs had given false information to the police alleging that they were armed robbers and kidnappers.
According to him, novices in the community had gone to demarcate boundaries with Rumuekini community as a result ceded much of their community land to them.
He said the same novices  had also reserved some portions of land to themselves which they sold to some purchasers.
Chief Chukwu also stated that when it was discovered, the youths also went to sell some portion of land in anger.
