Pillars To Receive Trophy At Aba, Sunday

ons Kano Pillars supporters would storm the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba in at least 20 luxury buses for the trophy presentation on Sunday.
Kano Pillars have chalked up an unassailable 65 points from 37 league games, while their hosts Enyimba are in second place with 61 points from the same number of matches.
A member of the Pillars supporters club simply known as ‘The Prince of Pillars’ said that the fans will storm Aba in their numbers to cheer their team to a favourable outing against ‘The Peoples Elephant’ Enyimba, before collecting the league trophy back to Kano.
”We are coming to Aba in 20 luxurious buses. We really want to show how we feel at winning the league for the third time in a row,” he told Tidesports source.
”Aba will see how support is given to our team during matches.”
In the 2009/2010 season, Kano Pillars also stormed Owerri in such numbers in a CAF Champions League semi-final clash against Heartland but were thrashed 4-0 by the ‘Naze Millionaire’ side.
Media officer of the Kano side, Idris Malikawa, said they will be in Aba to celebrate their latest triumph.
”We are still putting finishing touches on our movement to Aba for the final league encounter and I am sure there will be massive representation of our supporters at the game,” Malikawa informed.
”We have already started celebrations in Kano and our fans can’t wait for the trophy to be brought home.”
Players and officials of the league champions will be hitting the road from the ‘Groundnut Pyramid’ city today with the supporters setting off on their journey a day later.
