Muma Gee Declares For House Of Reps Seat

A recent report at our
disposal has it that the delectable Nubian queen and popular musician, Mrs Gift Uwame-Eke is set to contest for the House of Representatives for the Abua-Odual /Ahoada East Federal Constituency come February 2015 under the plat- form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It was gathered that the popular musician who is married to an Ngor Okpuala Imo State born Lagos based actor Prince Eke has already bought the PDP nomination and expression of interest form for the Federal House of representatives.
It was disclosed that her Port Harcourt country home has turned to a political camp where different group of supporters have been coming to pledge their support for her ambition. She is said to be a strong supporter of Chief Ezebunwo Nyesome Wike and participates actively in the Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) a socio political pressure group in Rivers State.
The current occupant of the House of Representatives is a woman, Hon (Mrs) Betty Apiafi of the PDP who hails from Abua/Odual Local Government Area. She has been in the House of Representatives for two terms, while the immediate past elected council chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Chief Cassidy Ikegbidi of the All Progressive Congress (APC) is also in the race for the Abua Odual / Ahoada East Federal House of Representatives.
Born on November 18 1976 and christened Gift Iyumame Uwame, Muma Gee as she is popularly called hails from the Ekpeye tribe in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State. She  is a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt
