Monday said that it had
developed a portal (software) for students preparing for ordinary level examinations.
The  Content Editor, Golden Steps Enterprises, told Miss Damilola Olaniyi,  told newsmen in Lagos that the portal known as ‘Examiner’ was user-friendly.
Olaniyi said that the portal was also developed to prepare students for the computer-based test introduced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
“The examiner is geared toward helping students to prepare online for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) with past questions.
“Students’ performances in examinations can be enhanced through revision of past examination questions,’’ she said.
According to her, the examiner draws its questions from past UTME and SSCE examinations, spanning seven years.
The content editor noted that some of the examination bodies had the habit of repeating questions, adding that students could benefit from understanding how these questions would be set.
“The user-friendly practice portal helps you to know when you are slow, how fast you should be, and how much time you have left, while trying your hands on past questions.
“At the end of the exercise, it shows you all the questions you have missed and gives you the opportunity to retry and improve.”
She said that the portal could engage both teachers and students and evaluate students’ performances with regard to the subjects they were taught.
“It shows individual performances and those of the entire class at a glance.
“It also enhances peer learning. Apart from the students learning together, it helps them to create rapport among themselves,’’ Olaniyi said.
She said that the Examiner was domiciled in an intranet that allowed connections to several people using a WIFI-enabled device.
According to her, students can practice with the portal anywhere and anytime.
