FAAN Redeploys PHIA Regional Manager

As part of moves to sus
tain the transformation of the nation’s airports, the management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has embarked on major shake up of senior management of the authority.
In the latest move, the Regional General Manager (RGM) in-charge of South-South and South East, Mrs Ebele Okoye, had been removed from the Port Harcourt International Airport and reassigned to head customer services department at the Lagos Headquarters of FAAN.
In her place, Dr (Mrs) Ann Egbadon Enyinnaya from Lagos Head Office has been appointed as Regional General Manager for the two zones while Engr Chigbo Nwobu from Akanibiam International Airport, Enugu had been posted to the Port Harcourt international Airport, Omagwa, as the new Airport Manager.
It would be recalled that Mrs Okoye held the position now separated and occupied by two officers of FAA N from October 2012 to November 2014.
At a brief hand over ceremony, the outgone Regional General Manager, who also conducted the new officers round the various units and departments under FAAN urged the staff to extend the support and cooperation which she enjoyed to the new mangers to ensure that Port Harcourt continue to maintain its status in the nation.
Mrs Okoye had within two years of her sojourn in PHIA made indelible mark in the management of the airport as she renovated the airport medical centre, rehabilitated the guest house, constructed car park, commissioned FAAN secondary school among other projects executed by her administration.
Some staff who were on hand tor receive the new managers paid glowing tribute to the hard work of the former RGM which had kept the staff on their toes, particularly the creation of duty managers for easy access to handling issues.
