Eagles: Sharks Player’s Performance Excites Coach
The Coach of
Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt Gbenga Ogunbote, has applauded the club’s duo of Chima Akas and Joseph Nathaniel, who featured in the Super Eagles 1-0 win over Ghana last Friday.
The duo made their debut during the international friendly which was used to inaugurate the Akwa Ibom International Stadium.
“I wasn’t surprised to see Akas and Nathaniel play for the Eagles. Both players simply proved they deserved to be on duty on the match day.
According to him, he was proud of their performance, saying that, they represented the club well.
“It’s what they have been doing on the training ground and during match situations. Nathaniel has done well since joining Sharks from a non-league side, last season”, Ogunbote said.
Meanwhile, the duo are in their second season with Sharks FC Chan 2014 Star, Christian Pyagbara joined the fray in the second half to boost the Sharks’ presence on the pitch. Pyagbara is the Club’s top scorer with 14 goals.
The Sharks FC presently occupies 12th position on the 2014 Globacom Premier League table with 52 points.
