Dolphins Set To Pocket N2m FA Cup Prize
The technical adviser of Dolphins Football Club of Port Harcourt, Stanley Eguma has expressed confidence that the club would lift the Federation Cup (FA) trophy this season.
He emphasized that Dolphin players have the potentials to win Enyimba in the finals which is expected to take place on November 23 eventually and play in the continent to make the State proud.
Eguma who gave the assurance in a telephone interview with Tidesports yesterday noted that the backlog of sign-on fees owed the players would not be a threat to the clubs FA glory.
Dolphins and Enyimba FC of Aba qualified to play this year’s FA Cup final at the Telsim Bahogun Stadium, this month.
Eguma told the Tidesports that the players are poised to lift the FA trophy so as to redeem the club’s image after failing to pick continental ticket through the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
“We are prepared to face Enyimba, I believe we will lift the trophy.
I must say that my players are good enough to win the League, but along the line they are discouraged over the non-payment of their sign-on fees owed them”, Eguma said.
He used the forum to call on the fans to support the team no matter the circumstance, assuring the club is still on course.
