Dolphins Places $1m Price Tag On Emem
Nigeria league club Dolphins have placed a price tag of a million dollars on top scorer Emem Eduok.
General Manager of Dolphins, Joe Johnson, said this is a very realistic valuation for their striker who has scored 24 goals in all competitions this season.
“There is a price tag on Emem and even the friendly match against Ghana last week increased his chances of playing outside the country,” said Johnson.
“I’m not too sure he has a match right now and if we can get those who are very serious, then one million dollars won’t be a bad idea.”
The Dolphins general manager added that after scoring 24 goals in all competitions this season, Emem is worth every single cent of a million dollars.
“It’s not an easy feat doing what he did. If you watch him play, you will see that the drive is there, the commitment is there and he is one player who is interested in scoring goals,” he said.
Former Flying Eagles striker Emem Eduok joined Dolphins from Akwa United at the start of the 2010/11 season and won the League title in his first season with the club.
He is the leading scorer in the Nigeria Federation Cup with four goals and his Port Harcourt club will now face holders Enyimba in the cup final on Sunday in Lagos.
