Congolese President Denis Nguesso has unveiled the symbols of the 11th All-Africa Games, scheduled for September 9 to 19 in Brazzaville.
The Congolese Ministry of Sports and Physical Education had organised from March 15 to April 15 a competition of the emblem, logo and mascot of the games.
The winning symbols depict Africa unity, Congolese hospitality and culture.
The three winners are Hebdy Ebienga, Benjamin Mankessi and Louis Mpandzou.
“We want to reassure the African Union (AU) Commission, the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), confederations, partners and all African countries expected in Brazzaville in 2015 that Congo would be ready.
“The government, led by the Head of State, is working hard to ensure that all conditions are met for a successful Games,” Congolese Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Afred Opimba said at the unveiling.
