Bayelsa Captain Hopeful Of Relegation Escape
Bayelsa United have
said they now hope to get their survival ticket at Heartland on Sunday after earlier reports gave them the all-clear to stay up.
Bayelsa United are still battling for survival alongside Taraba and Gombe United.
Taraba have 50 points, Gombe on 47 points and Bayelsa United have 48 points.
Bayelsa United skipper Salomon Junior has maintained his team would not be relegated as they are poised to get the points from their last fixture which is away to Heartland.
“I believe we won’t relegate, we are going to Owerri to get result needed to avoid the drop against Heartland,” said Junior.
“It won’t be easy, but we are ready to put in our best for the team’s survival.”
