The newly elected
President of Nigeria Baseball and Softball Association (NBSA) Victor Fingesi has said that his priority is to ensure that both games gain prominence in the country.
He stated that the games under his administration would keep the players busier, by organising tournaments in various states.
Fingesi stated this shortly after he was elected the President of the association, at the association’s delegates conference, held in the Banquet Hall at Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, over the weekend.
According to him, the game would be expanded, everybody will know about it as we will ensure that the games go down to the rural areas, most especially primary and secondary schools in the country.
“In my first 100 days in office, I will give the games active publicity. Every state would organise tournaments and not to be waiting for the national body”, Fingesi said.
On the challenges facing the association, he said, in everything there are expected to be challenges, but my administration would achieve  things that the previous administration could not achieve.
“Definitely, there are challenges in everything and whatever everybody does, but this administration is poised to drastically reduce those challenges and achieve things that the past executive could not achieve.
Fingesi, who was former President of Port Harcourt Polo Club, said that for the administration to succeed, all hands must be on deck.
He used the opportunity to thank members of the association for the confidence reposed on the new executive.
