Ramsey Nouah has
emerged Nollywood Personality of the Year. The award winning Nollywood actor stars in the hilarious “30 days in Atlanta”  currently showing in silver bird cinemas. Nouah’s acting career kicked off when he starred in the Nigerian TV soap opera “Fortunes.”
Ramsey Tokubo Nouah Jnr. was born on December 19,1970 in Lagos, Nigeria. At 20, he was starting out as an aspiring musician prior to heeding a friend’s advice to take a stab on acting.
At 21 he auditioned and instantly won the role of Jeff in an on-coming Nigerian Television Soap opera “Fortunes.” By the age of 23 he was seen in the “Fortunes’ from 1993 to 1994 which was a hit.
Captivating the viewers with his performance as Jeff, he instantly rose to fame and became one of the most recognised faces in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
In 1996, he made his major screen movie debut in the well received “Silent Night”.
From the 1990’s through the early 2000’s Nouah was quickly labelled “Lover Boy” because of the romantic roles he plays in most of his movies.
In 2004 he starred in “Dangerous Twins” and his stella performance as a good and bad twin, Taiye and Kehinde, projected him as a multi layered actor capable of much more than his lover boy image has suggested.
By then, his fame had transcended the shores of Nigeria and was exceeding to Africa.
The A-List Nollywood actor, is an African household name that will not be forgo hen for his immense contributions to the African entertainment industry at large.
In 2009, he portrayed a socially awkward fresh graduate in the “Figurin.’ He is often regarded as one of Africa’s greatest actors of all time. With an amazing talent and acting range, he has managed to remain new and fresh even after more than two decades in the industry. He has also won several awards for his acting and contributions to the African entertainment industry in Nigeria and around the world.
In 2010 he won Best  Actor at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for his performance in ‘Figurine’. He is one of the few active pioneers and ambassadors of the laudable Nigerian-Movie industry also known as Nollywood. His burning desire to add to the creative growth of Nollywood and African Cinema led to his founding a movie production company called Ramsey films.
