RSNC Pledges To Support Cancer Eradication

The General Manager
of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, Publishers of The Tide Newspapers, Mr Celestine Ogolo has pledged to support a non-governmental organisation, Elpis Sapphire Foundation in the eradication of breast cancer in the state.
Ogolo made this declaration during a courtesy visit by a delegation of the foundation to the corporation in his office Tuesday.
According to him, the policy of the Corporation is to support creative initiatives that are beneficial to mankind and commended them for the bold initiative to create awareness of breast cancer among women, noting that no knowledge is a waste.
While assuring them that the Corporation is willing to support the foundation in spreading the knowledge of breast cancer, he maintained that the Corporation will not relent in the dissemination of information concerning the education of breast cancer.
Also speaking the founder and administrator of the foundation, Mrs Dayo Ojo said the foundation is aimed at sensitizing women on the benefit of early detection of lump in the breast and also provide free medical examination, adding that the foundation was partnering with Preventive Healthcare Initiative in creating more awareness on the disease.
