Police Uncover Kidnap Victim’s Grave In Rivers

Command says it has uncovered the grave, where a kidnap victim, Emeka Paulinus Ajukwara, was buried at Rumuokoro, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ahmad K. Mohammed in Port Harcourt, explained that the late victim was abducted by unknown gunmen from his Eliozu residence last August adding that he died in the hands of his abductor who buried him in a shallow grave along East-West Road axis of Rumuokoro.
Asp Mohammed stated three gang members of the group, Hassan Adamu, Abbas Musa and Mohadiji have been arrested while others are being trailed adding that the suspects have confessed committing the crime.
The release further stated that another female victim, Chidinma Eke, who was abducted by another gang, had been rescued and reunited with her family adding that two suspects in connection with her abduction have also been arrested.
According to him, on October 3, 2014, a gang of suspected kidnappers called Samuel Eke and informed him that they over-heard another gang members plotting to kidnap him, but stopped them and requested that they pay the sum of N1 million stopping the planned kidnap. The gang told him the location where he would drop the money for them”.
The statement named, Asonye Obi, ThankGod Ayebatari and Raphael  Nwankwo as the three suspects arrested in connection with Chidinma Eke’s abduction.
