The football tournament exclusively organized for the staff of NDDC is expected to hold between the 17th and the 21st of November 2014 at the  Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Speaking to newsmen, the sporting consultant to the tournament Amb. Prince Stanley Sylva noted that the 2014 edition has been specially planned to ensure that it turns out a remarkable success, bigger and better than the pioneer edition last year.
According to him  (12) departments cutting across the nine NDDC states in the country are expected to slug it out against each other in a  five day football explosion to determine champion for the 2014 edition.
Sylva disclosed that the first edition held last year under erstwhile MD/CEO Dr. Christian Oboh was a resounding success with the Security Department carting home the trophy as champions.
He  gave assurances that the bars for this year’s tournament have been raised, following an improvement in the planning and inclusion of more exciting features to add colour and verve to the event.
Amb Prince Stanley Sylva used the opportunity to thank and commend the incumbent MD/CEO, Daniel Abia on his love for sports and physical wellbeing of his staff. He also commended  his decision to sustain the legacy of the past MD/CEO, and assured  that the objective of the event to create some level of physical training for staff, encourage healthy competition outside the confines of work place and promotion of unity and peaceful co-existence will be achieved.
