Name FG Projects In Rivers, Okocha Challenges Wike
The Chief of Staff,
Government House, Port Harcourt, Chief Tony Okocha, has accused the Federal Government of not having presence in Rivers State.
Chief Okocha made the accusation while addressing the people of Apara Kingdom in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State on Tuesday.
He challenged the Minister of State for Education, Chief Nyesom Wike to identify any federal project embarked upon in the state either through him or any of the federal ministries or agencies under President Goodluck Jonathan administration.
According to him, what Chief Wike could point to as achievement is incessant arrest of Chiefs, paramount rulers and political opponents who refused to dance to his tune.
“Chief Wike has nothing to how as project in Apara Kingdom, the only project I know is incessant arrest of our chiefs and youths.
Even, the paramount ruler of Rumuepirikom, his own village, is lavishing in jail, courtesy of Wike and the president, that is only visible project under Wike as Junior Minister to his people.” Chief Okocha said.
The Chief of staff also debunked the claim that the Ikwerre people have endorsed Chief Wike for the 2015 governorship election in the state, saying none of the paramount rulers of the communities in Apara kingdom were present at the meeting where Wike was purportedly endorsed.
He described the group that endorsed Chief Wike for governor as none existing chiefs, but a group of political sycophants.
