Mu’azu’s Visit To Rivers, Face-Saving -Sara-Igbe
A founding member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP),Chief Annabs Sara-Igbe has dismissed claims that the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu was in the state to adopt a particular Governorship aspirant in Rivers State.
Sara-Igbe, who is known in the political circle as ‘The Mafia Messenger’, stated this on Monday at the formal declaration of Engr.Bekinbo Dagogo-Jack, adding that the leadership of the party in the state and Chief Nyesom Wike organised the visit of the national chairman to save their face after the shameful act at Abuja Legacy House where party stakeholders were molested and beaten by their alleged thugs.
He described the visit as a face saving one, adding that the party’s state Chairman, Felix Obuah and his group know that they are drowning.
“The only way to save their face was to quickly organize the visit and the commissioning of the project.”
The party chieftain accused Obuah and his group for violating the party constitution with impunity, warning that the party constitution is supreme.
According to him, the likes of Emma Okah, who contested against the PDP in the 2011 elections, and Mr Jerry Needam, who was the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) spoke person and wrote against the party, came through the back doors.
‘’My quarry with the state party chairman is because he is violating the party constitution with impunity. In our party constitution, if a man leaves the party, and comes back, he must be approved or given waiver by the national leadership of the party to give him his present value. The likes of Emma Okah, who contested against the party, came through the back door, and you are putting them in a forefront to condemn the leaders of the party.
‘’The likes of Jerry Needam, who was the mouthpiece of ACN against the PDP came through the back door, and is condemning leaders and founders of the party’’, he said.
He also noted that the law is very clear, in section 58, on disciple, adding that the leadership of the party faulted when he said they were trialing commissioners and House of Assemble members.
The party leadership in the state has no powers to trial members of the House of Assembly, Commissioners, Special Advisers to the Governors and president, as stipulated in section 58 of the party constitution.
He regretted that these people came through the back doors, instead of them to bring peace, they are plotting to destroy the party.
Sara-Igbe regretted that the governor of Rivers State was driven away by these persons and have succeeded in making the state an opposition state, adding that their plan is to give Rivers State to the All Progressives Party (APC).
On Sergeant Awuse’s recent comment of no zoning, the Kalabari politician said something was wrong somewhere, stating that, ’’When Awuse, who started politics when Wike was in primary school start calling Wike master, then, something is wrong.
‘’When a master calls his boy master, then something is wrong somewhere. Wike was in primary school when Awuse started politics. Awuse should be examined’’, he said.
He said the party is in crisis because it does not have mutual hands, noting that an aspirant that is supposed to canvass for votes is busy using thugs to beat those who would make him governor.
