A Port Harcourt
based lawyer, Barr. Endurance Akpelu has called on the Rivers State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Worgu Boms to expedite action on the re-opening of courts in the state.
Barr. Akpelu, who stated this while  speaking with newsmen in the state, noted that lawyers were suffering.
He noted that any effort that did not yield result was not good enough as the crisis had lingered for more than four months.
The counsel noted that it was disheartening that the lawyer could no longer practice their profession in the state.
He said justice was denied when ministers in the temple of justice were prevented from ministering to the society.
According to him, “lawyers are hungry. For more than four months, it has been difficult to make ends meet. You see as lawyers we don’t have any other profession. So what happens when you are deliberately prevented from practicing your profession.
It is your  job, you have to even a living through it. It is your job that makes you a bread  winner. It is pathetic when you don’t win bread months after month,” he stated.
“Your family will really feel the heat of the pressure and all that. Government talks about crcating jobs while those that are self-employed are put out of jobs.”
