Kaduna Refinery Restates Commitment To Poverty Alleviation
The Managing Director, Kaduna Petrochemical and Refining Company (KRPC), Mr Saidu Mohammed, has pledged that the company would continue to empower youth from its host communities to engender industrial harmony.
Mohammed said this in Kaduna yesterday when the new leadership of the Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kaduna State Council paid him a courtesy visit.
He said that company had introduced a vocational skills programme tagged, Youth Empowerment and Skills Acquisition Programme (YESAP), to provde relevant skills training to youth in various communities in the state.
According to him, a total of 150 youths, currently on training in various skills, would graduate in December.
On the company’s operation, the managing director said efforts were on to reposition the refinery for optimal performance.
He advised journalists to always seek clarification from the right sources about the company’s operations.
Earlier, Chairman of the chapel, Garba Mohammed had said that the visit was to strengthen existing relationship between the company and working journalists in the state.
He pledged that the chapel would partner with KRPC to enhance information flow on the activities of the company.
