The former Controller
General of the Rivers State Road Traffic Management Authority (TIMARIV), Dr Nelson Jaja, has distanced  himself from the  crisis rocking the agency in the state.
Jaja in a statement issued in Port Harcourt recently said the allegation made by the  spokesman of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO),Livingstone Weche against him that he was to be blamed for the crisis in TIMARIV, was totally false and without any foundation.
According to him, as the founding Controller-General  of TIMARIV, he would  continue to do well as a legacy  of what he pioneered, adding that, “I have never and will never in life incitethe staff of TIMARIV against its management and leadership’’.
He stated that as the pioneer Controller General, he had been giving maximum co-operation and support to the   outfit and the Acting Controller General, Mr. Confidence Eke, inorder to enable him achieve  the aims  and objectives of  the Agency, especially at a time like this when the Authority is facing some challenges in the State.
The former TIMARIV boss vowed not to play the role of the proverbial foul who will gather together his fathers property and scatter them later, assuring that he would continue  to do his best for the promotion of TIMARIV  as well as support the officer at the helm of affair for it to move forward.
It would be recalled that  TIMARIV has been having some crisis between its management and some officers of the organisation over welfare packages, and staff integration into the mainstream of government pay roll, among others.
