Group Seeks Support For Ugwuanyi’s Guber Ambition

Coalition of Academics and Allied Professionals (ESCAAP) has called on the people of Nsukka zone to support the candidature of any governorship aspirant from the zone for the 2015 polls.
Coordinator of the group, Mr Aaron Agbo, made the call in an interview with newsmen in Nsukka yesterday.
Agbo, who is a Senior Lecturer, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, said that the people should not allow anybody to manipulate them to deny the zone the opportunity of producing the state’s governor in 2015.
He said that the group would give its support to Mr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, a governorship aspirant from the zone.
“Nsukka people should not allow anybody to use them to deny the zone this golden opportunity of producing a governor of Nsukka extraction for the state in 2015.
“ The group is happy with the good track record of Ugwuanyi as well as his contributions to national development as member of the House of Representatives.
“His adoption by PDP stakeholders in the state is eloquent testimony that he is an illustrious son of the state with commendable human relations.
“We will massively vote for him during general election if he emerges as the PDP flag-bearer,” he said
Agbo said that ESCAAP members comprises of academics and professionals in tertiary institutions in the state, adding that the group has been contributing immensely to move Enugu State forward.
Agbo commended Gov. Sullivan Chime for fulfilling his pledge that Nsukka man would occupy “Enugu Lion Building’’ in 2015 to ensure justice and equity in the state.
