…Favours Kaduna For Sudan Clash

Coach Stephen Keshi has said he would prefer Nigeria to host Sudan in Kaduna and not Abuja because the fans will come out in their numbers to cheer his team to victory.
The reverse fixture between Nigeria and Sudan on October 15 has been fixed for Abuja, but team officials are worried they may not get enough support from the fans and so would opt for neigbouring Kaduna, which has a much smaller stadium, but it is guaranteed to be packed.
”Keshi has said he would love to face Sudan in Kaduna because he is sure the fans will come out in their numbers to cheer his team, this will not be the case in Abuja,” a top team official disclosed.
This year, the 15,000-capacity Ahmadu Bello Stadium has already hosted the qualifying matches of the country’s U20 team, the Flying Eagles.
The Eagles have played their home matches for the past two years at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar as a result of the poor pitch of the Abuja National Stadium.
